２月末の２日間（２７日、２８日）、ドラムの佐々木俊之さんがリーダーを務める Nautilus にてレコーディングを行ってきました。これは、今度で３作目となるフルアルバムの為のもので、初めて行ったレコーディングが２年前の２月〔Nautilus、初のレコーディング参照〕、２作目のレコーディングが１年前の２月〔Nautilus、２作品目のレコーディング参照〕と、ほぼ１年毎に録音を行い、後にフルアルバムとしてリリースしているのは流石です。溢れ出る作曲才能をそのまま作品として残している流れになっているようなもので、そのハイペースには脱帽させられますが、今回も２日間で１０曲を越える曲数を残してきました。エンジニアの速水さん然り、いつものメンバーにて、前作を越えるボリューム感たっぷりの作品になりそうで楽しみです！
今回のレコーディング場所は今までとは趣向を変え、Studio Vanquish にて行いました。敢えて今回は生ピアノは使わず、全編キーボードで勝負している事もあり、普段からミックス作業を行っているこのスタジオでの録音が便利と考えたからでもあります。その代わり、全員同じ部屋に録音が出来るので、一体感的には有利なのかもしれません。時間に限りはありますが、順調に１曲１曲、丁寧に録っていきました。
今回のスタジオは、それぞれの自宅からそんなに遠くない場所という事で、前回までのようにスタジオ近くのホテルで１泊…というような流れはありませんでしたが（笑）、当然、この２日間はスタジオにほぼ籠っており、気持ちもいつも以上に集中させてレコーディングが行えたように思いました。今回も癖のある曲ばかりでしたが、事前準備をしっかりしておいたので、演奏面での躓きは無かったように思います。…逆に、録音をしていく過程で新たなアイデアも生まれたりして、それらの変化も楽しみながら録っていったような部分もありました。皆、出来上がりに満足している事と思います。
こうして無事にノルマを達成。今後、細かいミックス作業が続いていき、実際にアルバムが発売されるのは結構先だとは思いますが、ひとまずの完成の節目には到達出来ました。右上写真は打ち上げ写真ですが、これは１日目の夜に行っています（２日目ですと、機材片付けの為に皆、車で帰らなければならなかった為です）。この後の仕上がりに期待して下さいませ。…そして、今回も楽しいレコーディングでした♪
